New CEO for Accessible Properties

Accessible Properties’ Chair Andy Evans is thrilled to announce that Kelly Bunyan has been appointed Chief Executive from 7 October 2024.

The recruitment process has been conducted through an external Executive Search partner who led an in-depth market process to identify a suitable candidate to carry the organisation’s values and culture forward.

“Kelly has recently served as a Director on the Accessible Properties board and as a member of IHC’s Risk committee. Her understanding of our business, our operations and vision, our people and those we support is advantageous in ensuring a smooth leadership transition, helping maintain the stability and continuity of Accessible Properties services and strategy.”

“We are confident that Kelly’s appointment will bring comfort to our people and both IHC and Accessible Properties stakeholders. She is a warm, inclusive, values-led leader and highly regarded across property and construction sectors.  Her professional skills and experience have been well demonstrated during her three years with Accessible Properties as Director.”

Outside of Accessible Properties, Kelly has held the role of Head of Property New Zealand/Pacific at ANZ Bank. Prior to joining ANZ Kelly has led other large-scale property and infrastructure portfolios as a senior leader and as in-house legal counsel. Kelly is a property and construction lawyer by trade and has a broad practice across all property construction and planning disciplines as well as experience with mergers and acquisitions, commercial and corporate functions.

“Kelly is an industry leader,” says Andy. “She has supported the Property Council regularly speaking at events and contributing to sector advocacy. She has served on Women in Property Committees and as VP of PCNZ Auckland.”

Outside of her professional life, Kelly has a 26-year-old son and enjoys writing, art, and the great outdoors. She grew up in Rotorua and her first professional role included working in a real estate company that provided tenancy services.

“We look forward to welcoming Kelly to Accessible Properties in her new role and celebrating departing Chief Executive Greg Orchard’s success. Greg leaves the role at the end of June, but both Kelly and Greg look forward to collaborating on a successful transition and Accessible Properties' continued success.”
