Our long-standing tenants from the original Sullivan complex recently got together for a relaxed morning tea with some of their new neighbours who have moved into the 12 newly completed homes on the site.
Over coffee and drinks, people had the chance to chat, connect and start getting to know each other. It was great to see so many conversations flowing and new friendships beginning.
We were also joined by our build partners Classic Builders, along with our friends from Neighbourhood Support Hamilton, Age Concern Waikato and the Little Cherry Coffee Cart.
A highlight of the morning was unveiling the new sign for the communal area, Waahi hui, which translates to “gathering place” – a fitting name for this shared space. The sign is made from rewarewa, a timber with strong links to the land around Sullivan Crescent.
